November, 1900Locomotive 1673 is built
In November of 1900, Schenectady Locomotive Works (New York) produces a 2-6-0 M-4 mogul type locomotive for the Southern Pacific.  She is one of hundreds of this type produced for several railroads.  She weighs 146,000 pounds and has a driver (main wheel) diameter of 63″.  The engine is coal fired, as are most of the day, and has a tractive effort of 28,710 pounds.
